Course description

The content of the course on Bosniak history would consist of several parts that will, through a series of lessons, enable participants to gain insight into different aspects of Bosniak history and culture.

The first part of the course would focus on the basics of Bosniak history, such as the beginnings of the Bosniak people, its culture, religion and social life. This lesson would include the story of the arrival of the first nations in Bosnia, including the Illyrians, Celts and Romans, as well as the arrival of the Slavs and the formation of the first states in Bosnia.

The second part of the course would focus on the period of the Ottoman Empire and its influence on Bosniak history and culture. This lesson would deal with issues such as the organization of society within the Ottoman administration, the development of Bosnian culture and language, as well as the various reforms that took place in Bosnia during this period.

The third part of the course would deal with the period of The Austro-Hungarian occupation and the creation of Yugoslavia. This lesson would focus on the impact this period had on Bosniak history and culture, including issues such as the formation of the state, political and social changes, and cultural developments that took place during this period.

The fourth part of the course would deal with the Second World War in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the role of Bosniaks in this period. This lesson would focus on the story of the fight against the Nazis and Ustashas, as well as the crimes committed against Bosniaks during this period.

The final part of the course would deal with the contemporary history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the story of the war and the consequences that the war had on Bosniak culture and identity. This lesson would include the story of the formation of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the political and social changes that occurred after the war.
